My husband is a physical therapist and he received the RFE for I-485
to submit the visa screenning certificate and NPTE exam results by June 13th. He will be able to submit
the visa screenning certificate only by july 2nd week.Can you please tell me is there any way he can get
sometime to submit the visa screening certificate.
Currently he is in L2 visa and the L2 visa is getting expired on June 20th, we applied for I94 extention.
I am in L1 visa and my company is asking me to goto India. So my husband can't stay in US in L2 status (after I leave).
He has to stay in US depends on the I-485 processing.
By any chance, if I-485 is denied, Pls tell me whether he can stay in US after the denial.
Do we have any timeframe to submit a new I-485 ?.

It was on Dec 2005 . Luftansa . Chennai - Frankfurt- Dallas . I was waiting for my boarding pass . I handed over my e ticket to the lady at the counter. Instead of issuing the boarding pass , she asked me about my H1B papers. I got confused . Why should I show my papers to this lady ? . Since it was my very first trip to US , I meekly showed her my papers.After that she had issued the boarding pass.
Friends, you may think I am very meek.This was not my first overseas trip. I had visited Japan previously. I didn't want to have fight with her and start my journey in bitter taste from the beginning.
Don't think only Non-Indians treat Indians shabbily. Our enemy is within.
If I happened to see that lady once again in Chennai -------

The real question is whether 2 files is ok with USCIS. Lawyers are giving different opinion on whether u can do it or not.
If u can file 2 sets, then do ead/ap on one.
They probably won't even look at my wife's 485 for a year. But I *think* that the EAD/ap should be under my wife's. Not sure though. I would like both asap.

* The news of potential revision of the July Visa Bulletin is understandably taken very hard by everyone including this reporter. After spending sleepless evenings and weekends, this reporter feels like being hit by lightening rod from sky. But people should keep their emotion under control for a number of reasons: First, the AILA reports that they are working hard to stop the State Department from doing this. No one knows how much it will work, but no one knows whether they will change their mind either. Just calm down. Secondly, even if it is released, we have no idea which categories and how much there will be a retrogression. Some categories may turn out to be not too bad. We will just have to wait and see. Thirdly, the AILF is seeking a legal remedy should this rumor indeed materialize. This lawsuit threat may or may not affect the State Department one way or another. We are all educated people and should have received a proper training to maintain a decent composure and not to lose morality and reveal weakness of the personality. Losing one or two days will not induce the sky failling down. Availability of July 485 filing is at this juncture depends on two factors: One is whether the July Bulletin will indeed be revised and the numbers will be retrogressed. The other is whether the USCIS and the visa posts around the world will be able to adjudicate all the backlog I-485 or immigrant visa applications in a very short period of time. Until the Visa Bulletin revision news popped up, the only factor that would control the issue of how soon one should send in their I-485 applications was the speed of USCIS backlog 485 application adjudications during the next two weeks or beyond. Now, quite unexpectedly, our July 485 filing opportunities have been further mystified by not one but two yet-to-be-known factors - Visa Bulletin Revision and USCIS Backlog I-485 Processing Speed. Yes, I do agree that we should have some sense of personal responsibility and that is why the middle way is to rent out the house (probably at a bit lower price than your monthly mortgage) and pay the difference from your pocket - if you have to absolutely move out from the house. But, can somebody answer my question above..........why is the same house (not even a brick changed) being appraised at around 100k lower than it was done 2 years back, by the same bank??

There is no message. Just a soft update on the date. I just called USCIS and no news was disclosed and asked to wait for another 30 days for response.

There is no contract to change the plans. I just spoke to Vonage customer service. She clearly explained me about the contract requirements. In fact there is no commitment for the new users also. The 1-year contract which shows on the website is for the Phone Adapter. They only charge for the phone adapter if you discontinue your service before 1 year. No strings for the existing customers.
